Featured Creator: Aggie Wroblewska- Decorating Assistant

Meet Aggie Wroblewska
Aggie began working here at The Cake Boutique as an intern during her studies at the Restaurant School at Walnut Hill College. She has since graduated with her associates degree in Baking and Pastry Arts and is working here at The Cake Boutique as a Decorating Assistant. From her experience at her GCIT and Restaurant School productions she has made many desserts, however, her favorite to make at home is cookies. Her best advice for making cookies or any dessert at home is to "be patient and read the entire recipe BEFORE starting anything." This way you are prepared with all the necessary ingredients, tools, and procedures. Aggie's favorite cake and icing combo is vanilla cake and vanilla buttercream- no wonder she is pictured with a big tub of our rich and creamy vanilla buttercream!

Aggie loves working with fondant and doing challenging decorations. This cake is one she did recently and is one of her favorites. It is festive and super cute…who doesn't love glitter?! Within the baking and  pastry industry there are many misconceptions. "One of them is that people don't understand the difference between a cake decorator, a baker, and a pastry chef. "Sometimes their roles intertwine, however, there is definitely a difference in the roles of each person. I asked Aggie to leave us with some closing remarks to our blog readers, "Be patient when ordering cake or any dessert. And of course be kind to all our the fabulous employees at The Cake Boutique ;)!"
