Tip Tuesday: Holiday Desserts

Everyone of course has their favorite holiday desserts, pumpkin pie at Thanksgiving, or Chocolate Chip Cookies at Christmas. Of course holidays are about traditions and coming together. But this also brings an opportunity to break the norm and try something new! Having your family's favorite is important, but perhaps buy a new dessert to try as well. For instance, bring home a variety cupcakes to try different types of cakes, or try the new trend...macaroons! Here at The Cake Boutique last year for Thanksgiving we had a great Pecan Pie perfect for the season, but not your typical Thanksgiving pumpkin pie. At Christmas we had Buche De Noel which is a French dessert and a great option. Don't be afraid to try something new you might find another favorite and could start a new holiday tradition!
