Cake Friday: Fun & Funky Topsy Turvy

Turning 30 is a special birthday and The Cake Boutique knows how to do it right! Look at the step by step process of how we made a fun, funky, topsy turvy 30th birthday cake!

First, the topsy turvy tiers are covered
 in black or white fondant. 
The tiers are stacked and doweled for support.

White diamonds are put on the
bottom tier in an argyle pattern. 
Red fondant balls are created
 for the borders of the tiers.
The argyle is finished off with
small white fondant balls. 
Silver dragees are embedded in the top tier.

Next red fondant is rolled to
create an abstract rose.
The roses are placed on the cake in
 three bunches for a finishing touch.
