Cake Friday: Zebra Done Right!
Today's Cake Friday is a small simple cake, but I choose it because it is a cake I have seen numerous bakeries get wrong. Zebra is such a big trend right now and done right can be good for young and old. Take a look at this weeks Zebra cake step by step.....

| First, our cake is smooth iced with vanilla buttercream. |

| Black fondant is rolled out thin. |

| Using a roller, black curvy stripes are cut. |

| The strips are added with a touch of water. |

| More strips are added. |

| Strips are added from both sides. |

| On the ends curved strips are added. |

| Both sides are curved in. |

| Two hot pink legs are added to make a bow. |

| A pink bow is made and paper towels are used to support the loops until they dry. |

| With a touch of water the bow is added. |
| A pink rope is rolled out to be put in a mold. |
| The rope is pushed into the mold. |
| The balls are placed on the edge of the cake to finish it off. |
