In honor of Independence Day being tomorrow, todays edition of realistic budgets is all cakes red, white and blue. We have done many cakes for our service men as well as for families celebrating America with family BBQs and such. Check out these cool cakes and see if you can guess the cost of the cakes.

This 10" fondant cake is adorned with a US ARMY logo,
hand made dog tags and shooting stars..can you guess the cost?!

This two tier buttercream based cake would serve about 40
people and is decorated with a fondant american flag.

This fondant red, white, and blue themed sweet 16 serves 120+.

This 12" cake serves about 50 people in the base cake
and an additional 5-8 in the hat-can you guess the cost?

Cake #1: This cake with the handmade dog tags and shooting stars(which take a few days to dry) would cost about $145+ to recreate.

Cake #2: Although, this cake is buttercream the fondant flag is detailed work and you have to work fast to create the flag without cracks in the fondant. This cake would cost $225+ to make.

Cake #3: Although, this cake is quite large it is fairly easy in design. Therefore, this cake would cost $345+ for the 120 servings.

Cake #4: Creating a camo hat is a bit more involved than creating a typical baseball cap along with the stripe detail and dog tags would cost about $200+ to recreate.
