Tip Tuesday: Need an Estimate??

I answer countless emails each day of customers looking for price quotes. Many times I have to respond back looking for more information. So what do most bakeries need to provide you with a quote? With most custom cake bakeries they will need to know the number of servings you are looking to feed, the base of the cake i.e.. fondant, buttercream, and the decorations. If you have an image of what you are thinking that is also good to send along with your estimate request. Although, here at The Cake Boutique most flavors are not an additional charge (other bakeries may have additional charges for certain flavors) so you may want to include this information as well. Providing your bakery with as much details as possible will help them provide you with the most accurate estimate.
