Before and After: Finishing touches

Do you love before and after photos???

Sometimes when delivering wedding cakes we have to add some decoration when we arrive at the cake's final destination. These decoration can include everything from heavy gum paste flowers, to fresh flower, and sometimes even entire sections of cake. Why do we do this you ask. Sometimes the answer is as simple as the fresh flowers can only be delivered to the venue. Other times we choose to put certain decorations on later because they are so heavy! Take a look at some recent before and after and let us know what you think!

This recent buttercream wedding cake by itself is beautifully rustic, but the additional of the fresh flowers take this simple rustic cake to a stunner of a wedding cake!

Next up is a cake that I think should be called, Pretty in Pink. This buttercream cake has a touch of pink ombre on the bottom two tiers. This cake also has a beautiful addition of the rosette tier. Rosettes can come in all different shapes and sizes, in this case we went with fluffy even rosettes. This wedding in particular did not have ant greenery in their flowers so the addition of babies breath was there perfect filler for the even more gorgeous flowers. Which do you like better???

This last cake is a buttercream beauty all on its own. There were not a ton of flowers to be added, just a few in at the top to compliment the stunning colors throughout the buttercream.  Do you think the flowers were the perfect addition?

We will be back again soon with some more before and after cake pictures! Let us know what other kinds you would like to see!
