Wedding Wednesday: Breaking Tradition with Non-White Wedding Cakes
When it comes to Wedding cakes many people are boxed into the idea that the cake must be white. Well with today's blog I am going to show you the world outside of that box...the world of color. Wedding cakes can be beautiful in all white, but adding a touch(even a lot) of color can make a cake really pop. Take these cake for example.....
This first wedding cake has a bunch of beautiful hand-crafted gumpaste flowers. These gumpaste flowers really pop on the grey fondant tiers. |
Keeping the base of the cake white we added bright pinks and greens to match the wedding colors. |
This light blue cake is just perfect for a beach wedding. |
I just love how this cake begins white but has an ombre effect into a darker pink. |
With the same ombre effect just a touch of yellow is added to accent the fresh sunflowers. |
Champagne is a great option for a more neutral cake, but yet a break from the traditional. |
Who says color wedding cakes can't be elegant?! |
