Tip Tuesday: First Birthday Smash Cakes

First birthday parties are an exciting day for the parents and family of these little guys. For many relatives, or long distance friends, this may be the first time they get to meet the baby. I've been to many birthday parties where the cake is first given to the baby for their first taste. I have also seen a baby dig into that cake like there is no tomorrow…..and then that cake is cut and served…yumm?? no gross!!

Lets be honest, no guest wants a piece of cake after a baby has slobbered and dug into it!
