Wedding Wednesday: Sentimental Cakes

These days wedding cakes are not just a white one white tiered cake with buttercream piping. They are no longer suck in those formal traditions. Modern wedding cakes include colors, designs, different shapes and some are even very out of the box. Something that is super sweet is when a couple chooses to incorporate something special in their relationship for the design of their cake. For instance, a couple we worked with in the passed included peaches on their cake as they met on a peach farm. Another couple during one of their first dates carved their names into a tree and choose to recreate this in cake. These little sentimental touches make wedding cakes all that more special since they have the added meaning.

For the couple that ordered this cake, they choose to incorporate superman in the theme because the bride nicknamed her groom superman. Did you meet at the shore?! Then this wedding cake would be simple and yet include a special detail about you as a couple!
