Cupcake Friday: Back to School


It is that time of year again when the backpacks are packed and the kids are hopping on the bus back to school. Whether it is the teacher, the student, or the sad parent, everyone could use a back to school pick me up. Take a look at this step by step Back To School Apple cupcakes we make here at The Cake Boutique.
Using red sanding sugar, coat the sides of an iced cupcake.


Then coat the top.

Using a small piece of chocolate
 fondant, create a steam.

Get a melon baller- or 1/8 t, a fondant
 leaf, and chocolate sprinkles ready.

After chilling the cupcakes, use the
 baller to remove a small "bite mark".

Sprinkle a few chocolate sprinkles-"seeds"! 

Place the steam in the center.

Don't forget the leaf!

Now you're ready for back to school!
